VIDEO: TSL Power Hour- Deontay Wilder

The TSL Power Hour is our new show dedicated to Combat Sports. Hosted by Rhett and Ana “The Hurricane” Julaton, the Power Hour brings you the best perspectives and featured exclusives with the biggest names in the game.

It was July 16th, 2016, when WBC World Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder jumped up in pure pain as the glove on his right hand was being removed. Fight fans knew something was wrong as his team rushed him out of the arena, but we didn’t know to what extent. We would later find out that he broke his right hand and tore his right biceps earlier in the fight against Chris Arreola, but continued to fight on, eventually knocking Arreola out in the 8th round.

Most thought he would be out of action for at least a year, but seven months later, Deontay will be back in the ring on Saturday February 25th to defend his title against Gerald Washington, healthy and with a fresh new look. We spoke with the heavyweight champ before the fight and got his take on his arm, the upcoming fight, the future of the heavyweight division and his tribute to Haile Selassie.
