The best game on tap this weekend looks to be Saturday afternoon's clash between No. 12 LSU and No. 7 Auburn. Both squads walk in with a 2-0 record after impressive victories over ranked opponents on opening weekend, with Auburn's 21-16 win over No. 10 Washington and LSU's 33-17 beatdown of No. 21 Miami.
Saturday night's game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas between No. 4 Ohio State and No. 15 TCU promises to be a goodie as well.
Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins threw for 313 yards and five touchdowns in the opener against Oregon State. SUBSCRIBE to Big Ten Network on YouTube - new highlights & features uploaded daily: http://www.btn.com/youtubesubscribe Looking for videos for your favorite Big Ten school?
Buckeyes sophomore quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr. has completed 79% of his passing attempts this year. Last weekend, he connected on 20 of his 23 attempts for four touchdowns as Ohio State beat Rutgers like Jimmy, Tommy and Henry did Billy Batts in Goodfellas.
Keep your eyes on the Horned Frogs' diminutive wonder KaVontae Turpin, who had a 78-yard punt return for a touchdown and caught a 42-yard TD pass in their 42-12 win over SMU.
Turpin takes it 61 yards to the house TCU wide receiver Kavontae Turpin catches a pass from Trevone Boykin and runs for the 61-yard touchdown to tie SMU at 7-7.
Also, don't sleep on undefeated Ole Miss and their chances against No. 1 Alabama on Saturday night as well. The Crimson Tide is not the only squad in this game that will feature a signal caller from Hawaii.
The Rebels' senior Jordan Ta'amu, who hails from Pearl City, which is near Pearl Harbor, threw for 448 yards and five touchdowns last week in putting up 76 points against Southern Illinois. He is ranked seventh in the nation in terms of passing effeciency. Thus far, the 6-foot-2 senior has thrown for 784 yards, seven scores and no interceptions.

Ole Miss' offense plays at the fastest pace in all of college football. Last year, all of their scoring drives averaged an astounding time of possession of slightly over a minute-and-a-half. That's quicker than it takes for a Black character to get killed off in the opening scene of a horror movie.
The Ole Miss offense ranks third nationally in scoring, putting up 61.5 points per game, and they're eighth in total offense while accumulating a robust 596 yards per game.
Ole Miss, to their credit, has played Bama tough over the last few years. Two years ago at home, The Rebels were ahead by 21 points in the second quarter. Alabama rallied to pull out a 43-37 victory. In the 2014 and 2015 seasons, the Rebels reeled off back-to-back wins against the favored Tide, but they'll have to protect their neck this weekend against a squad that thrives off of devouring inferior competition.
Alabama sophomore quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is second in the nation in passing efficiency with a 237.2 rating. When he's lined up under center, they've scored an incredible nine touchdowns and a field goal on 13 possessions.
Tua is among a handful of brothers with an excellent chance to walk away with this year's Heisman Trophy. As the season marches on, the Heisman race will begin coming into clearer focus. But right about now, these young men have as good a shot as any to walk away with college football's most prestigious honor.

Oliver is far and above the best and most dominant college football player in the country. It's a shame that the award is dominated by quarterbacks and running backs, because if the selection process was objective, Oliver would win it in a landslide.

Tua's arm talent is insane. Last week, the gifted sophomore threw first quarter touchdown passes which went for 58, 31 and 41 yards respectively. He tossed a 14-yarder in the second quarter as well. As good as he was in the second half of last year's national championship game, he's been even better this year, connecting on 71% of his passes and throwing for 455 yards and six touchdowns, with no interceptions, while splitting time with last year's starter Jalen Hurts.

Love averaged 7.4 yards per carry as a freshman and sophomore while playing behind the incredible Christian McCaffrey. But last year as a full-time starter, he made you think your eyes had the capacity to lie by averaging over eight yards per carry and rushing for an astounding 2,118 yards and 19 touchdowns. He got off to a slow start in the opener against San Diego State, carrying the ball 18 times for a mere 29 yards, but looked back to form vs USC last weekend when he ran for 136 yards on 22 carries.

And as a true freshman last year, the New Jersey native rushed for 1,977 yards and 13 touchdowns while averaging 6.6 yards per carry.
