Charles Barkley is one of the 50 greatest hoops players of all-time, hes prolific at commanding a crowd and saying something shocking, controversial and entertaining, but he cant throw a baseball and proved it on Monday night after Golden State spanked Houston 119-106 in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.
Each member of the NBA on TNT crew got to throw at least three baseballs from a distance and try to toss the balls into one of several buckets sitting in the empty stands with number values attached to them.
Barkley went first and he came up horribly short on all of his throws. That vicious elbow that once terrorized NBA defenders is pretty much mush now.

Kenny Smith came closer to the targets and while Chuck couldn’t reach, Kenny was long on his throws, even hitting the cameraman at one point.
Shaq once again proved he is the best pure athlete out of the three former NBA players, hitting a couple of the targets but failing to get a ball to go directly into the bucket.
The supposed “non-athlete” Ernie Johnson actually had the most accurate attempts. He hit a few targets, but couldnt get a call to go in the bucket.
Tha attempts improved with each participant, but as the show closed and ball after ball fired at the buckets to no avail. Kenny, Shaq, and Ernie get an A for effort. Barkley gets a B for adding the comedy element to the competition. In fact, the only reason why the others probably agreed to do this was because they saw Barkley try to throw out the first pitch at a Cubs game two years ago and knew that last place was already sewn up.
