When LeBron James left Cleveland to sign with the Lakers, it was like a bad dream for the city of Cleveland, and Cavs coach Tyronn Lue especially.
Lue, who will undoubtedly have the worst coaching experience of his career in 2019, was probably hoping it was just a dream, but when he saw James at a Summer League game rocking Lakers shorts, the harsh reality set in and social media went bonkers like it does concerning everything LeBron James.

The Lakers played the Detroit Pistons in Las Vegas on Sunday. The franchise formally announced James’ signing last Monday alongside a picture of him in a Lakers uniform.

Most guys just hold a press conference and take the traditional photos of them holding up the new jersey, but not Bron. The organization has yet to hold an official press conference, so to some fans, this entire LA Bron situation is still kind of surreal.
A glimpse of King James in Lakers gear of any kind was confirmation of his arrival and emotionally soothing and exciting for Lakers fans — even the Kobe supporters who defaced Bron’s mural in Southern California. It was also cringe-worthy for Lue and Cleveland fans. One could call it a foreshadowing of the Armageddon to come.

Somebody please give Lue a hug because this ain’t a movie. Its actually happening and when they face each other on the court, the two won’t be chuckling it up like they were on Sunday. If Lue had anxiety and contemplated retiring when he had LeBron at his disposal, he might not make it through this season without his royal crutch.
