A host of Irish newspapers carried hard-hitting headlines with some going as far as discounting the Irishman’s abilities. What is clear is that Conor McGregor and the UFC are now under a scrutiny that hasn’t been felt since former Arizona Congressman John McCain labeled the sport “cockfighting”.
