Houston Rockets Fire Kevin McHale

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Houson Rockets have reportedly fired head coach Kevin McHale following a disappointing (4-7) start to the season.

The Rockets were favored by many to contend for an NBA title after reaching the Western Conference Finals last season and trading for Ty Lawson in the off-season. However, the Rockets have struggled mightily on defense, ranking second worst in defensive efficiency.

All-Star guard James Harden has also struggled to find his shooting touch so far this year, as he is shooting 37% from the field and 26% behind the arc.

Mchale held a 190-103 record as the Rockets head coach, including three straight postseason appearances. J.B. Bickerstaff will take over as interim head coach.
