Herm Edwards Will Interview For Arizona State Coaching Job

Late on Tuesday we learned of a new candidate in the search for a head football coach at Arizona State University. It wasn’t Kevin Sumlin or another college coach. No, it was Herm Edwards.

Former coach of the Jets and Chiefs coach and current ESPN analyst Herm Edwards? Yes, that Herm Edwards.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Edwards will be interviewing this weekend.

ESPN analyst Herm Edwards will be interviewing for the Arizona State head coaching job this weekend, he confirmed.

Edwards, 63, was last a college football coach in 1989 when he was coaching defensive backs at San Jose State. He then went on to coach the Jets (’01 – ’05) and Chiefs (’06 – ’08) and amassed a record of 54-74, with four playoff appearances, during those times.
