Once again, the stale and contrived outrage of the mainstream worldview has brushed up against an increasingly awakened and agitated proletariat. Though they are multimillionaires, LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Steph Curry are increasingly speaking out in the interests of those with which they share common ancestry.
As is common knowledge, the current age of political tumult, outward bigotry and growing instances of white supremacist terrorism has forced the country to pick a side.
On one side are those in defense of overt American racism that tries to humanize the monstrous white offender while dehumanizing a black innocent. The side that elected the most overt, cowardly and stupid president in centuries on the premise of race, the side of top one percent of the one percent a side that no professional athlete will ever reach monetarily. No, not even MJ. Here’s a portion of what was said that got her all in a stir.
Kevin Durant x LeBron James x Cari Champion | ROLLING WITH THE CHAMPION
LeBron James and Kevin Durant join Cari Champion for the Uber ride of a lifetime in Akron, Ohio to discuss NBA All-Star Weekend 2018 goals, the pressures of being a top athlete, social injustice and the current climate in politics.
The climate is hot, James said to Cari Champion when asked about how he feels about being an athlete with a platform during these politically agitated times. The number one job in America, the appointed person is someone who doesnt understand the people. And really dont give a f about the people. When I was growing up, there was like three jobs that you looked [up to] for inspiration. It was the President of the United States, it was whoever was best in sports and it was the greatest musician.
You never thought you could be them, but you can grab inspiration from them. I never felt I could be the president of the United States, but I grabbed inspiration from that. And this time right now, with the president of the United States, its at a bad time. And while we cannot change what comes out of that mans mouth, we can continue to alert the people that watch us, that listen to us, [that] this is not the way.
Here’s the response from the side that closes schools and builds prisons, the side Fox News is on. They care not to allow the old but neglected tradition of black athletes speaking out against American injustice to spread, as it appears to be flaming anew, and the very last thing they want is a superstar-caliber NBA player making a Colin Kaepernick-type sacrifice.
Must they run their mouths like that?” said exasperated conservative pundit Laura Ingraham. “Unfortunately, a lot of kids and some adults take these ignorant comments seriously. Look, there might be a cautionary lesson in LeBron for kids: This is what happens when you attempt to leave high school a year early to join the NBA. And its always unwise to seek political advice from someone who gets paid a hundred million dollars a year to bounce a ball. Oh, and LeBron and Kevin: Youre great players but no one voted for you. Millions elected Trump to be their coach. So keep the political commentary to yourself or, as someone once said, shut up and dribble.

Laura Ingraham says #LeBronJames should “shut up and dribble” and leave political comments to people who didn’t leave high school a year early. https://t.co/vwInOpZJZq
In attempting to belittle the concerns of an increasingly agitated and activist minded black athlete, Fox News is revealed as an enemy of critical-thinking. The mere fact that Fox has even addressed this is indicative of the mainstream thought process continually trying to maintain the status quo, one of fear, ignorance and racism as a normal, regulating factor.
