After a monster game against their hated rivals, the Washington Redskins, Ezekiel Elliott and the Cowboys were sobered quickly after the judge deciding on his fate ruled against him and denied his request for a preliminary injunction Monday night, which means that the clock on his six game suspension has started ticking.

U.S. District Judge Katherine Polk Failla’s ruling means that Elliott won’t be eligible to play until the team’s game against the Raiders in week 15 on December 17th. But the ruling also comes with a 24 hour window in which Elliott can decide on his next step, which could include working with the NFLPA on an appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Unless something happens with the aforementioned Court of Appeals, which seems unlikely as they are the same court which agreed with Tom Brady’s suspension, Elliott will be on the bench for six weeks. For the full story, read here.
