Philadelphia Eagles coach Doug Pederson announced on Tuesday morning that the team will be heading to the White House on June 5th.
There were some questions as to when that would actually happen, considering the New England Patriots visited the White House in mid-April last year and no date had been officially announced by the Eagles.
Doug Pederson: June 5 is the day for the White House appearance. Honored to be there. Players will have the choice on whether they plan on attending. #Eagles
There are a number of people who were on the Eagles championship team who have already expressed they would not be attending the White House because of Donald Trump’s history of racist comments and overall inappropriate behavior when it came to dealing with players who were protesting.
As the date gets closer, keep an eye out for any other players who express their opposition to going to the White House.
