Dez Bryant Working Out For Saints, Looking For That Elusive Super Bowl

It took a HOF QB with Super Bowl credentials to save Josh Gordon’s career. Dez should get a deal done with the Saints and do the same.

Dez Bryant has been chilling at home, waiting to land on a team with a top notch QB,  that has a chance of going to the Super Bowl. He might have found his new home with the New Orleans Saints and reports say he will be working out for the NFC South leaders today.

With Michael Thomas carrying so much of the wide receiver burden in New Orleans, Saints HC Sean Payton is looking to boost the manpower on an already explosive offense. New Orleans is in the Top 10 in the league in passing and they are 12th in total offense. While impressive, with a defense that ranks 20th in the league, adding the Dallas Cowboys’ all-time TD receiving leader (73) won’t hurt. Shootouts are on the horizon for New Orleans, especially at home in the dome.

After a long investigation, it turns out that Michael Thomas was calling Dez Bryant to see if he wants to join the Saints

Bryant and the Cowboys parted ways overmoney and ego after 8 productive, but rocky seasons. Bryant departed as a Top 5 wide receiver in Cowboys history and engaged in a war of words with his former franchise on the way out the door. If anyone thought Bryant would be desperate to return to the field, he’s already rejected a multi-year offer from the Baltimore Ravens in August. Bryant knows his career is coming to an end and he wants to put himself in the best position to make some green and play in the Super Bowl that eluded Dallas during his All-Pro tenure there.

@EAMaddenNFL @WillBlackmon @Rich_Crawford6 If the Saints sign @DezBryant, there will be 2 Jordan brand WR’s on their squad wearing the Air Jordan XI’s. Will these cleats be added to the game???

Dez is still a productive wide receiver and his size and ability provide the Saints’ offense with another deadly dimension. He will cause matchup nightmares for opposing defenses, especially in the red zone.

He has ties to Sean Payton and similar to Josh Gordon’s rebirth with the Patriots, Bryant should feel like a new man in New Orleans, who’s winning football culture, superb QB play, and nonexistent dysfunction during the Drew Brees-Sean Payton Era is undoubtedly something new.

Payton will be the first offensive guru that Dez gets to play for. Similar to how running back Adrian Peterson has been opportunistic and opposition-crushing this season in Washington under the guidance of offensive guru Kyle Shanahan, who is also credited with making Matt Ryan an MVP.

It took a genius and a Hall of Fame QB with Super Bowl credentials to save Josh Gordon’s career. Dez should get a deal done with the Saints and let that same light shine on his tumultuous career.
