Fans were beginning to feel like the new installment of the Stars Wars film would never be released. But Disney Studios’ chairman Alan Horn says Stars Wars Episode VII is has already begun filming and most of the cast for the film has been picked as well. “We have a lot of them,” Horn told Hollywood Reporter. “We’re just not completely done yet.”
He also added that casting has been the greatest difficulty in getting the latest Star Wars launched. There have been rumors that Adam Driver of HBO’s Girls will play a substantial villain in the offering. While others say that Academy Award-winning actress and the newest face of Lancôme cosmetics, Lupita Nyong’o, will play a lead. But we're still waiting for confirmation.
Star Wars: Episode VII is slated for release in December 2015. The screenplay for the film was written by J.J. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan with the events in Episode VII taking place 35 years after Return of the Jedi. It and would be the first part of a third Star Wars trilogy.
