Ryan Mallet cut by Texans

Ryan Mallet has run out of excuses and a job in Houston.

The Texans released their backup QB after Mallet missed the team flight to Miami on Sunday. Mallet stated that he “got caught in traffic”, something that the rest of his teammates proved successful in avoiding. Mallet also missed practice earlier in the season claiming that he “overslept.”

Mallet has a good arm, but is severely lacking in maturity. This is not the type of behavior you’d expect from a player in his fifth season, especially one who backed up Tom Brady for two of them. He’s learned nothing. From his lateness to his body language after being benched against the Indianapolis Colts, he has not demonstrated the type of leadership you want in a quarterback.

It’s no wonder as to why he’s looking for a new team.
