According to Deadline, former CNN contributor and Shadow League contributer Roland Martin, has been chosen to anchor TV One’s first morning news program.
News One Now, set to debut in September, will be an hour-long telecast that will specifically focus on covering stories and current events that are significant to the black community.
TV One, a network that targets the African American audience, has made a clever and innovative move with the production of News One Now. There are no other current news telecasts which cover entertainment, politics and current events from a black perspective. News One Now will hopefully provide a much needed outlet for the black community.
