Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports has opened an office in London, as the company seeks to expand its clientele.
The agency opened its international office in the United Kingdom last month, and according to reports, have signed soccer players Reece James, Kevin De Bruyne, and Romelu Lukaku, along with rugby star Siya Kolisi.
Michael Yormark currently serves as the company’s international president and recently told the Daily Mail that more international offices are in the plans.
“We would like to get into others of sports here in Europe – Formula One, tennis,” Yormark told the Daily Mail. “Siya is our first rugby player but I wouldn’t necessarily say rugby as a sport is part of our expansion plan, it matters more about the individual – the story they have to tell and how we can support them in telling it.”
“We’ve been approached by star athletes in different sports here in Europe. We’re considering those but we want to continue building one brick at a time.”
“If we build the foundation the right way, ultimately we’ll have the success we’re looking for.”
Roc Nation Sports was founded back in 2013, and began representing international clients in 2015 after signing German soccer star Jerome Boateng.
