Since the San Francisco 49ers were eliminated from the playoffs, we haven’t seen Colin Kaepernick’s Beats by Dre commercial. Sadly, the facsimile of Seahawk fans yelling at him in his commercial had the last laugh. Like Highlander, there can seemingly only be one Beats ad. If Kaepernick had been able to wear his headphones on the field and block out the sound of Sherman and the raucous Seattle home crowd things might be different. Sherman’s ad has replaced Kaepernicks. In it, Sherman tunes out the media throng at his locker after a reporter asks him about being perceived as a thug. It couldn’t have been any more prescient. Just watch it and you’ll see why.
