R. Kelly's latest offering is set to drop on December 10th amid much fanfare. The set, called Black Panties, is being described by many outlets as a throwback to his 12 Play days. It is an unabashed return to the time when sex-themed R&B music ruled the airwaves. In the early to mid 90s, Kelly was just beginning to ascend to the superstar status he currently enjoys. And now, his new offering features a veritable solar system of collaborators such as Ludacris, Kelly Rowland, 2 Chainz, Jeezy, Future and others. The Los Angeles Times got a kicked out of some of the lyrics and published what it called "a few blush-inducing listens." Take a gander of what you can expect, as if you didn't already know.
1. “I know that he hurt you, I’ve got the kind of sex that heals” — “You Deserve Better”
2. “This is a sex proposal” — the tamest lyric on “Marry the P***y”
3. “Make your body sing to me / Sounds like R. Kelly’s greatest hits” — “Lights On”
4. “Every boy, every girl, every child around the world / From the 90s, up until today, was made off me” — “Shut Up”
