Queen Latifah Given Vote of Confidence By CBS

The Queen Latifah Show will be picked up for a second season on by CBS and Sony Pictures Television.

The Queen Latifah Show will be picked up for a second season on by CBS and Sony Pictures Television.  The multi-faceted entertainer’s program opened in September with a 1.7 rating. It was the second biggest debut for any new talk show since 2009.

“We look forward to building on the success of this year’s No. 1 new talk show by delivering the highest quality program to our stations, advertisers and viewers,” said John Weiser, president of U.S. distribution for Sony Pictures Television.

The Queen Latifah Show has successfully landed many of the top contemporary performers of the day and provides a refreshing alternative to many of the seedier day time talkers that are still prevalent on daytime television.
