Prince's epic performance at South by Southwest, which didn't shut down until 3 am and featured six encores, is now hitting the road. Prince will be performing two shows a night with 3rd Eye Girl along the West coach. From the LATimes:
Now Prince is taking his revitalized live show on the road for a West Coast club tour set to launch in mid-April.
Appearing Wednesday night in a video chat with the blogger Dr. Funkenberry, the members of Prince's new backing band 3rd Eye Girl said the trek will kick off April 15 in Vancouver and wrap up with gigs May 7 and 8 at the City National Grove of Anaheim.
Other cities in the jaunt — which comes ahead of Prince's visit in July to the Montreaux Jazz Festival — include Seattle, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Tempe, Ariz., and San Diego.
