Former olympian Oscar Pistorius’ early release from prison in October will be short-lived, after being convicted of murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
The culpable homicide verdict was declared “fundamentally flawed” by Judge Eric Leach and was overturned today in the South African Supreme Court of Appeals.
Pistorius will return to court for sentencing next month. In South Africa, a murder conviction carries a minimum sentence of 15 years.
