Johnny Manziel wasn't just making money for himself (allegedly, of course) in the wake of his Heisman trophy winning season. The Aggies' move to the SEC was expected to provide a financial boost, but Manziel's domination of the league, including knocking off the eventual national champions, Alabama, defied all expectations for the 2012 season.
It shows in Texas A&M's bank account. They racked up $740.6 million in tax free donations last year, exceeding their previous high by 70 percent. They nearly doubled donations from their in-state rival Texas, who earned $400 million.
And to think, Manziel was investigated for possibly making a few grand from autographs. Please.
