Michael “Venom” Page Faces Biggest Test Against Douglas Lima

Could “Venom” meet the antidote this weekend in Chi-Town?

Michael “Venom” Page is one of the most feared competitors in MMA.

Fast, unpredictable, and still unbeaten, MVP is Bellator’s not so secret weapon.

Now facing former Bellator welterweight champion Douglas Lima in the semifinal of the welterweight tourney, Page might have met his doppelgänger.

The two face each other in Chicago this Saturday on DAZN.

The Brazilian, by way of Atlanta, is a former Bellator welterweight champion.

At Bellator 100, he won the welterweight tournament by defeating Ben Saunders via a second round head kick. Talk about getting your mind right.

Lima has been here before  and, minus the hype MVP’s amazing run has been, is the true ‘A’ side.

Still, MVP’s 2016 KO of the year, a vicious knee that crushed the skull of Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos, haunts his reputation deliciously.

Throw in an unheralded recent win over U.K. rival Paul Daley and Page is certainly the boogie man.

However, Lima also has a win over Daley. With heavy hands, equal ability with all limbs, and a strong submission game, the British sensation is meeting a veteran wake up call.

The only question is, will MVP make the adjustments faster than Douglas Lima.
