Since two-time NBA champion Lamar Odom was found unconscious on Tuesday in a Las Vegas brothel after an apparent drug overdose, many NBA stars and celebrities have shared their thoughts and prayers for the former Laker who remains under a medically induced coma.
Many people lauded Kobe Bryant for leaving his preseason game early to be by the side of his former teammate. TMZ caught up with Odom’s long time friend and former rapper Master P, who was bluntly unimpressed.
Bryant quickly issued a response to Master P’s criticism of his motives via his twitter account.
Do you agree with Master P? Could Kobe have done more to help Lamar Odom? Or is he out of line for questioning his motives at such a critical time. It’s a tough question considering the fact that Kobe himself has admitted to being incapable of being a “great friend”.
It’s unfortunate that during these situations people choose to place blame upon others. Internally everyone close to L.O. is questioning whether they did all they could to help him.
