Kobe Bryant Unsure About Opening Night Return

Kobe Bryant will make his return from an achilles injury at some point this season, but it may not be for the Lakers’ first game of the season. Bryant expressed uncertainty about his return last night during a one-on one interview with Jimmy Kimmel.

Via LATimes:  "I don't know if I'll be ready for opening night. I really don't know," Bryant said. "I know I'm really, really ahead of schedule."

Kobe reiterated that his career "definitely isn't over," as he expressed in previous interviews that he believes he can play another three years at a high level. Apparently he isn't alone. Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak believes that Kobe can easily play another three seasons if he can return at the high level he played at during last season. It's hard to imagine Kobe not being able to return to form this season. His work ethic and determination are well documented. He is possessed to win a sixth title and add a career defining moment similarly to his idol Michael Jordan. His first challenge is to get healthy and make his 2013-14 debut.
