Ken Griffey Jr. tops 2016 MLB Hall of Fame Ballot

The Baseball Writers Association of America released their list of 32 eligible candidates for a 2016 induction into Cooperstown, with ‘The Kid” with the sweet swing headlining the field.

Ken Griffey Jr., who will appear on the ballot for the first time in ’16, enjoyed an exceptional career in which he was a 13-time all-star, 10-time gold glove award winner and clubbed 630 career home runs. Griffey was one of 15 new candidates added to the list.

Voting results will be announced on January 6th.

You can lock Junior in as a first-ballot Hall of Famer. Not only was he one of the best centerfielders of all-time, but also one of the best all-around players the game has ever witnessed. He will be celebrated and remembered as a player that dominated the “steroid era” without ever being connected to cheating.
