Jerry Sandusky’s Adoptive Son Files Papers To Change His Name

Matt Sandusky does not want to be associated, at least by name, with his adoptive father Jerry, who was convicted of 45 count of sexual abuse in June 2012.

The younger Sandusky filed papers Tuesday in Centre County Court looking to change his own name, as well as his wife and four children. Matt Sandusky was going to be a defense witness in his father's trial, as he claimed to have been abused also.

Jerry Sandusky is serving his 30 to 60-year prison sentence for sexually abusing young boys over a 15-year period.

This looks like one of many steps people impacted by the Sandusky nightmare will have to take toward healing, even if changing the name doesn't quite change the situation.
