English singer-songwriter Adele is in a very good place these days. Her Las Vegas residency is set to begin in November after a false start and a public meltdown earlier this year, and she’s in love with her boyfriend, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul.
“I’ve never been in love like this,” Adele tells Elle magazine. “I’m obsessed with him.”
The two had been friends for a while and in 2021 they took things to the next level. Adele and Paul were seen sitting courtside during the NBA Finals in 2021 and the internet lost its mind. The “Someone Like You” singer is a hoops fan and likes the Phoenix Suns. It certainly makes life a bit easier when your significant other is into the things you like and vice versa.
Earlier this year Adele abruptly cancelled her Las Vegas residency the day before it was set to begin. Issues with production, the stage, and crew members amid the omicron surge forced too many compromises she wasn’t willing to make.
“It was the worst moment in my career, by far,” she says, about the cancellation. “By far. I was so excited about those shows. It was devastating. There was just no soul in it. The stage setup wasn’t right. It was very disconnected from me and my band, and it lacked intimacy. And maybe I tried too hard to give it those things in such a controlled environment.”
Adele recently purchased a mansion in Beverly Hills, that used to belong to Sylvester Stallone, for $58 million. She and Paul are renovating the home and it looks like they plan to combine families in the near future. Paul has three children and Adele has a son. The singer has made it clear she wants to marry again, and that she’s ready to crush her residency.
“Yes, absolutely,” Adele said when asked if she wants to be married. “Well! Well. Well, I’m not married. I’m not married. I’m not married. I’m not married! I’m just in loooove! I’m happy as I’ll ever be. I might as well be married.
“I definitely want more kids. I’m a homemaker and I’m a matriarch, and a stable life helps me with my music. But right now, all I got in my brain is Vegas. I wanna f-cking nail it.”
Without knowing the details of their relationship, Paul and Adele seem like a good match. He’s been LeBron James’ agent and business partner for the last decade. He’s been in the orbit of extreme fame for a long time and knows how to operate within it.
Not to mention he’s a successful entrepreneur in his own right. Klutch Sports has grown into one of the preeminent sports agencies. Forbes ranked Klutch 13th in 2020, with over $1 billion in signed contracts and $58 million in commissions. As an agency they are only growing bigger and better. One day they might rival the behemoth that is Creative Artists Agency (CAA).
In the meantime, Adele and Paul continue to grow their empires and amass riches. This is our next big-time power couple.
