Ice Cube, Mike Epps Are Back As Craig And Day-Day For A New “Friday”

On April 26th, 1995, Ice Cube showed fans that he was a true force to be reckoned with in Hollywood when he, along with DJ Pooh and F. Gary Gray introduced us to Craig and Smokey (Chris Tucker) and showed us just how much can actually go wrong in one day in “Friday.”

Along with “Bad Boys”, the movie helped usher in a new wave of Black films, pulling fans away from the harder, inner city, gang focused movies of the early 90s such as “Boyz n the Hood”, “New Jack City” and “Juice” and into more comedies and other stories in Black life. The film was such as success that it spawned two additional films in “Next Friday” and “Friday After Next”, while presenting us with the comedic talents of people such as Chris Tucker, Mike Epps, John Witherspoon and Katt Williams.

Now, after over two decades since the original Friday was released, Ice Cube and Mike Epps have finally given fans what they have been begging for since the third movie was released in 2002, all through the simple :10 second video below:

That’s right, Craig and Day-Day are back on set and filming the fourth installment in the “Friday” series. To add to the excitement, Craig’s dog catching father (John Witherspoon) is back too, as evidenced by the image Mike Epps posted below.
