The Houston Rockets were on fire last night. They tied an NBA record with 23 3-pointers and at one point hit 18 of 27 from range. It was a blitz. But during the fourth quarter, when it became clear the Rockets were gunning for the record, Golden State clamped up defensively and began fouling aggressively, with Draymond Green getting ejected.
Mark Jackson defended GSW's mindset after the game. "Some nights, it's not your night and it wasn't ours and we didn't play particularly well. That doesn't mean, lay down and surrender. That's not in our DNA."
Old school. Gotta love it.
