Golden State Warriors Forward Harrison Barnes will be coming off the bench as the sixth man this upcoming season. Newly acquired forward Andre Iguodala will be taking his starting position. Barnes, who started every game as a rookie last year has no problem with the new role.
From NBC Sports Pro Basketball Talk:
“Winning the game matters more to me,” Barnes said. “I can imagine much worse problems,” Barnes said. “I feel confident about this team and where we can go. Regardless if I’m starting or coming off the bench, I think we have a chance to make a serious playoff push.”
Barnes seems to be handling this matter very professionally as he should. This move will definitely make the Warriors a more dangerous team. Barnes’s performance in last year's postseason was very impressive, and if Barnes can put up great numbers off the bench, we are looking at the 2014 NBA Sixth Man of the Year.
