Funnyman Seth Meyers to Host 66th Emmy Awards

Former Saturday Night Live alum turned late-night talk show host Seth Meyers has been chosen to host this year's Emmy Awards. He will emcee the 66th Emmys set to air live Aug. 25 from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on NBC.

"Seth is such a talented performer and writer, and we know he will bring something unique to hosting the Primetime Emmy Awards," said Bruce Rosenblum, chairman and CEO of the Television Academy. In February, Myers took over for fellow SNL alum Jimmy Fallon, who segued over to host The Tonight Show after the departure of Jay Leno.
