Forest Whitaker stars in the new psychological thriller Repentance as a deranged client who abducts his life coach, played by Anthony Mackie.
Also starring Mike Epps, the film is part of a multiyear distribution deal between CodeBlack and Lionsgate to expand the studio’s already strong urban business.
Repentance was produced by director Philippe Caland, Forest Whitaker, and his producing partner Nina Yang Bongiovi, under Significant Productions.
The United States release is set for February 28.
