Seminoles QB Everett Golston is expected to miss FSU’s New Year’s Eve Peach Bowl game against Houston after leaving team for personal reasons.
I dont know if were 10-2 without him, Fisher said following Tuesdays practice. I believe that were definitely not 10-2 without him here. I think it helped [starting quarterback] Sean [Maguire] grow in a lot of ways, how to work and do things. Now I think Sean is progressing into a good player. Everett coming here was a positive for Florida State and it was a positive for him.
Golston, a graduate transfer from Notre Dame, started eight games for Florida State this year going 7-1, before losing his position to Sean Maguire following a three turnover game against NC State on November 14th. He finished his college career with a 24-7 record, 7,628 yards with 52 touchdowns, 23 interceptions and 13 lost fumbles.
