Gennady “GGG” Golovkin KOs Dominic Wade in Round 2
Yup he did it again, and this time it took less than six minutes from the sounding of the opening bell. Golovkin (35-0, 32 KOs) destroyed Dominic Wade Saturday night before a packed crowd of 16,353 at The Forum in Inglewood, CA.
The tough-as-nails Kazakh Middleweight scored three knockdowns, taking away Wade’s undefeated record. The bout ended with a right to the chin with 23 seconds left in the second round.
Co-main event Roman Chocolatito Gonzalez continued his dominance, defending his WBC 112-pound flyweight title with a unanimous decision over McWilliams Arroyo.
Widely considered the world’s top pound-for-pound fighter with a record of 45-0, the Nicaraguans fourth title defense put an end to his 10 consecutive stoppage victories when he gained the decision victory over Arroyo (16-3).

Jon “Bones” Jones beats Ovince Saint Preux Claiming the interim Light Heavyweight Belt
Suppressing the last 15 months of out-of-cage sidelining, Jon Jones took a unanimous decision victory over Ovince Saint Preux, a middle of the road UFC Light Heavyweight.
Saint Preux, who was a short-notice replacement after UFC Light Heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier had to withdraw from a knee injury sustained in training camp, went all five rounds with Jones, which surprised many.
Although that made for a less than exciting 25-minute bout that was periodically peppered with boos from the crowd, respect had to be given to Saint Preux who made Jones look rusty in his return. Jones (22-1) scored huge leg kicks on Saint Preux (19-8), hobbling and then dominated him on the ground to set up an eventual unification rematch with Cormier.
Demetrious Mighty Mouse Johnson also took care of business ending his bout with Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo via TKO in the first round. The defending champ blasted Cejudo with knees from the clinch, sending him pedaling into the fence. Then Johnson (24-2-1) pounced, hammering Cejudo (10-1) with punches until the referee stopped the fight at the 2:49 mark of the first round.
Benson Henderson Loses Bellator Debut to Andrey Koreshkov
Bellator 153 was a buzz over former UFC Lightweight champion Benson Henderson making the free agency jump to supposed greener pastures and against the lesser known Bellator Welterweight champion, Andrey Koreshkov. The results proved surprising to many as Koreshkov pitched a shutout for five rounds en route to the unanimous decision victory.
Henderson (23-6) had trouble with Koreshkov (19-1) from the outset, finding himself on the end of punches, not closing the distance and falling victim to Koreshkovs heavy knees and kicks. However, a huge jumping knee set the tone for the remainder of the fight as it clearly hurt Henderson as round 1 came to a close.
Hendersons signature toughness was displayed in the final round as he weathered the storm of heavy shots and submission attempts, surviving to the final bell. The fight served to prove that Koreshkov deserves the worlds recognition.
