‘That’s BBL Podcasting’: Cam Newton Roasts Emmanuel Acho’s Podcast Before Acho Calls Out Former NFL MVP’s Strip Club Activities

A “podcast war” has broken out between former NFL MVP Cam Newton and ex-NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho.

Newton used the Thursday episode of his podcast, “4th&1 With Cam Newton,” to criticize Acho’s “Speakeasy” podcast, which has been the recent target of social media users after some realized that Acho had taken over the YouTube account for his podcast after it formerly belonged to now-defunct FS1 show “Undisputed.”

“Undisputed” mostly built up its current 2.6 million subscribers on the backs of Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe, who had daily sports debates on the TV program. Acho said he was given the channel by Fox Sports as part of a “settlement” after the company parted ways with him as a analyst.

On his Thursday episode, Newton and co-host Omari “Peggy” Collins referred to Acho’s podcast venture as “BBL Podcasting,” drawing a comparison to people, mostly women, who undergo Brazilian butt lift (BBL) surgery to achieve quicker body enhancements.

“Let’s let the people know how you got your following from the get-go,” Newton said about Acho. “I looked online and I said, ‘Damn.’ I said, ‘Bruh, you got 700,000 (subscribers)? Boy, who he pay?’

“That’s like the podcast way of going to Dr. Miami.”

“Dr. Miami,” real name Michael Salzhauer, is a popular surgeon and social media influencer based in Florida that built his immense following through uploading behind-the-scenes footage of himself performing BBL and other cosmetic surgery operations on patients.

“That’s BBL podcasting,” Collins added on the “4th&1” podcast episode.

Acho, of course, did not let the jabs from Newton go unanswered.

After Newton nicknamed Acho’s podcast “BBLEasy,” the ex-linebacker brought up Newton’s past comments about his choice to frequent adult strip clubs in the past; the former Auburn Tigers quarterback previously said he would go to strip clubs to “compete” with other men to see who could throw the most money at the adult dancers.

“If anybody in the world should be OK with BBLs, Cameron, it’s gotta be you,” Acho said. “Cameron if anyone knows anything in the world about BBLEasy. …Cameron you the one who said you went to strip clubs to compete with other men.”

“Cameron, Cameron it’s love. Y’all one of the greatest on television right, on social media right now, but Cameron, Cameron look in the mirror, G. We know how you feel about BBLs and being store-bought,” Acho gibed,.

“With that being said, you can’t ignore us. You refuse to ignore us. We’re here to stay.”

Newton was not the only former NFL player to enter an online feud with Acho, as former NFL cornerback Asante Samuel also addressed the “Speakeasy” YouTube account on his own podcast.

The online drama initially began in July, when fellow YouTube creators questioned the analytic data on Acho’s “Speakeasy” YouTube account.

Time will tell if the “podcast war” will soon fizzle out in exchange for the next hot topic, or if we are only just beginning a long battle.
