The Philadelphia Eagles are the first team in NFL history to post three fourth-quarter come from behind victories in their first four games of a season (though one was against Cleveland and I doubt any real Eagle fan wants to claim that). Last night's 19-17 victory over the NY Giants was an example of the "good" Eagles, a team with talent that actually plays up to its potential. They looked steady and confident and in sync with their playbook (certainly on offense). This is the team that everyone thinks is a real contender. A turnover-free performance coupled with big nights from LeSean McCoy and Mike Vick will always give the Eagles a chance. One thing to consider, however: it was against the Giants, a team Philly has beaten eight out of the last nine times. Meaning, last night isn't the best barometer of what this the team is capable of achieving. Next week's game vs Pittsburgh will tell the league whether this team is really poised for something big or just another flame-out.
