Should the Giants face a fourth down with the game on the line, they ought to put the ball in the hands of NOT future Hall-of-Fame quarterback, Eli Manning, but rookie running back, David Wilson. Crazy right? Not at all. Wilson is like birth control – 99.9 percent of the time he’s going to come through – or so he says…
"I'm like birth control. You have to believe in me. Like birth control, 99.9 percent of the time I'm going to come through for you."
Btw, if you didn’t know, he will also be in the Hall of Fame or, again, so he says.
"I think at the end of my career, I'll be in the Hall of Fame. I know myself, and I know [when] I have guys around me that feel the same way, which I feel I do. When I get my opportunity, the sky is not the limit. I think it's past it. You have to believe in yourself to do good things. This is how I feel."
It’s a bold statement from a guy who’s seen extremely limited action through seven games, but you gotta love your man’s self-confidence.
As of now, him and head coach Tom Coughlin, don’t seem to be looking into the same crystal ball. In Sunday’s win vs. RG3 and the ‘Skins, Wilson’s only appearances came on special teams.
If Wilson were to end up in the hall one day, it would be dope for us Giants fans. That is, of course, if he tears it up wearing Big Blue.
