The College Football Selection Committee released their first Top-25 ranking of the season today, with the Clemson Tigers topping the list.
The first CFP ranking is generally meaningless, as it’s extremely difficult to determine how good these teams are so early in the season. What ultimately matters is the final list. Last year, Ohio State wasn’t ranked in the initial top-12, and we all see how that turned out. Nevertheless, the release of the list will stir up a lot of emotions and debate from the fan bases involved and early snubs. That’s just exciting!
