Charlie Ward is the legendary quarterback for the Florida State Seminoles and one of the greatest players in college football history.
He won a National Championship, Heisman Trophy and David O’Brien Trophy at Florida State in 1993 and, to further cement his position as a true leader, he was also the team captain of the 1993 team and the school’s Student Government Vice President. Ward also played on the school’s basketball team for four years, eventually being drafted by the NY Knicks with the 26th pick in the first round in the 1994 NBA Draft. He would go on to play with the team for 10 years, and ultimately have an NBA career which spanned almost twelve years.
