Life is good for Carmelo Anthony right now. He's currently getting paid above his value as Forbes' most overpaid NBA player, the Knicks have won a dozen in a row and his jersey is the league's best-selling.
For the first time since the NBA began releasing jersey sales in 2001-02, Anthony has the top-selling jersey in the NBA this season, climbing ahead of Miami Heat All-Star LeBron James who had the top spot from April 2012 through November 26, 2012. Numbers are based on sales at NBAStore.com and the NBA Store in Manhattan.
Outselling James is the biggest victory Anthony has had over his 2003 draft counterpart in his NBA career. But if they want to finally fulfill the early promise of their rivalry, they have to take it to the next level and give people what they really want to see—an Eastern Conference Finals matchup.
