Lifetime has shown love to creative works by black individuals and now the network will finally air the hit Broadway play The Trip to Bountiful, starring Cicely Tyson, Vanessa Williams, Blair Underwood and Keke Palmer in March. Originally scheduled to air during Black History Month, the new debut date was pushed to March 8. Set in the final years of the Jim Crow South, The Trip to Bountiful follows a woman’s quest to reconcile her past in the present and future.
