When both Chris Paul and Blake Griffin opted out of their contracts with the Clippers earlier this week, Clippers fans almost died, nightmares of the franchise returning to its dismal days of the 80s and 90s running rampant through their heads.
But fear not Clippers fans for one of your stars is staying home. At the start of the NBA free agency period, Blake Griffin will be receiving a 5 year, $173 million dollar contract from the Clippers, which means he’s off the market and the phones will be heating up elsewhere.
