The debut of BET’s Boomerang TV series is less than a month away and the cast includes some pretty familiar faces.

The Chi creator Lena Waithe, and star of the 90s film, Halle Berry executive-produced the series.
The sequel to the classic features rising star Tequan Richmond, whom many know as Drew, from the hit series Everybody Hates Chris. Also set to star alongside Richmond is Tetona Jackson, Leland Martin, and social media influencer Lala Milan.
Other notable recurring cast members include rapper and Mr. Robot actor, Joey BadA$$, Chicago rapper Dreezy, Atlanta’s Brittany Inge, RJ Walker, Paula Newsome, and newcomer Kimberly Hall.
Initially, the series was developed as a reboot of the 1992 film starring Eddie Murphy, Berry, and Robin Givens, but is now being described as a sequel in the form of a series.
The show will premiere on February 12, 2019, on BET.
