Beats By Dre to Stream Music

It goes without saying that Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine have dominated the competition with the Beats by Dre headphones. According to the New York Times, the duo is segueing to the streaming music business as well. The newspaper reports that Beats Music will be available in the United States beginning later this month. The music service will compete head-to-head against Pandora, Rhapsody, Spotify, Rdio, and iTunes Radio

The streaming music service will have a “Right Now” feature that will allow users to create a playlist based upon location, activity, or a person,.

The service will be available through AT&T for $10 a month, or $15 a month for the five user family plan. Unlike its competitors, there will not be a free version.
