A$AP Rocky has a real problem on his hands, literally and figuratively. The rapper is facing a lawsuit alleging he slapped fan, Lismarie Wade, at the Made in America Festival in September 2013. Wade claims Rocky was making his way through the crowd and struck her in the face so hard that she fell to the ground. Still suffering from migraine headaches and muscle spasms as a result of a pre-existing condition being exacerbated by the slap, she initially sought to have criminal charges filed on A$AP Rocky. But they were dropped when a state witness failed to appear. Now, Wade is seeking $75,000 in compensatory and punitive damages for civil assault and battery.
Live Nation, Roc Nation and other companies affiliated with Made in America have been named in the suit as well. But this isn’t the first time Rocky has been accused of being hands on with his fans. In 2013, he was accused of slapping a fan after she blew him a kiss. In 2013, he pled guilty to attempted larceny after he is alleged to have beat up two men while engaging in a verbal altercation with another male.
When will people simply learn to keep their hands to themselves? Sheesh.
