Despite the governments increasingly liberal stance on marijuana and its legalization in certain cities, Black men are still getting arrested for marijuana — and in their homes at that.
Daz Dillinger, legendary member of West Coast rap group Tha Dogg Pound and one of the founding fathers of G-Funk, is facing numerous charges including felony drug possession.
TMZ.com originally reported that the Atlanta home belonging to Dillinger contained large amounts of marijuana and other smoking paraphernalia. 117 grams was found in his residence and several cigarillo packets and a green mason jar. Not exactly your typical cartel haul. More like what you’d find in the off campus apartment of a Cornell medical student.

I’m so confused. Entertainers freely smoke cannabis on internet shows and other mediums and no one bats an eye, but police feel that a 40-year-old rapper who smokes weed is enough of a societal threat to run up in his crib.
Daz allegedly also had 10 THC pods, THC oil, a THC vaporizer and a container in his home studio labeled Cannabis Lean. Cops say the label on the bottle described it as a grape drink laced with cannabis.
Dillinger was booked on 12 counts of possession of a controlled substance, and 1 count of possession of more than one ounce of marijuana. His bond has been set at $15,000.
Dillingers mishap comes at an ironic time as he recently made headlines for calling upon his affiliated Crips gang to put the beat down on Kanye West after the MAGA rapper sided with Donald Trump. Days later, Dillinger released a Kanye diss track, then teased a sequel on Instagram earlier this week.
