Wright was missing for 10 days before his body was found on July 28, 2010. He was shot multiple times, with the autopsy showing bullet fragments that were lodged in his skull, chest and right forearm.
It took almost a decade, but police finally got a break in the case last year with information about Wrights ex-wife, Sherra Wright, and Billy Turner, a landscaper for the family who attended the same church as Sherra.
She received $1 million from her ex-husbands life insurance policy and agreed to a settlement in 2014 in a court dispute over how she spent the insurance money meant to benefit their six children, The Memphis Commercial Appeal has reported.

Sherra pleaded not guilty on Monday to murder charges in Lorenzen’s death. Turner plead not guilty as well.
Prosecutors could announce at the next hearing whether they plan to seek the death penalty. Law enforcement stated this was actually the second time Turner and Wright attempted to murder Lozenzen, the first occurring near Atlanta.

A tip led to the discovery of the alleged murder weapon and the arrest of Wright’s ex-wife, who is being charged with first-degree murder in the killing seven years ago.
Turner was indicted Dec. 5, and Wright was indicted less than two weeks later. The seven-year investigation into his death has been one of the Memphis Police Department’s most high-profile unsolved cases.

Police said they got a break in the case when a gun used in the killing was found in November in a lake near Walnut, Mississippi, about 75 miles (120 kilometers) east of Memphis.
