None of Brady's first 11 passes hit the ground and he finished the first quarter 11-of-12 for one touchdown. Backup Ryan Mallett showed off his cannon for an arm by going 12-of-20 for 137 yards and one touchdown.
Against the third string defense, Tim Tebow dropped another dud, finishing with a stat line straight out of Bill Belichick's nightmares and a pair of throws that would make Garo Yepremian proud. Of Tebow's seven passes, two were completions. One lost a yard and the other was an interception.
