Prince semi-officially joined Twitter yesterday, hopping on his all-female band's account to let the world know what he was doing. It's obviously been a daunting process for Prince, as he began rather slowly.

Yes, it really is Prince, according to an employee at Twitter Music, though the confirmation wasn't quite necessary when Prince's real reason for joining Twitter became apparent: Just like everyone else, the man needs followers on Twitter to boost his sales by teasing some new tunes.
