If you thought Victor Cruz was going to take a preseason game or two to round into form, think again. Cruz showed up to Saturday night's preseason opener looking like he hadn't had an offseason. On his first catch of the season, Cruz caught a floating Eli Manning pass over the safeties up the middle and barely a flurry of diving Steeler defenders, but never broke stride en route to a 57-yard touchdown. It was his only catch of the night, but it was enough to make fans forget that he was looking to knock ff some rust after skipping OTAs in the offseason.
It was a stark contrast to the Jets' offensive display on Friday night.
